Both Halo and BBL photofacial are well-tolerated treatments. To ensure your comfort for Halo, we will apply a topical numbing cream to your skin prior to treatment. BBL photofacial does not require any topical numbing cream, as it is a non-invasive treatment that does not break the skin. Some photofacial clients have reported that very little discomfort; others say the treatment feels like rubber bands quickly snapping against the skin. But this discomfort resolves immediately.
PhotoFacials are a non-invasive treatment and therefore require no downtime. Patients can return to their regular routine immediately after treatment. There is minimal downtime involved with the Halo laser treatment. The downtime is significantly shorter than the majority of fractional lasers presently available. Typically, patients can expect to complete the healing process within 5 to 7 days. For microneedling, there is typically only social downtime for a day or two following your treatment. Common side effects are slight swelling and redness, which fade away on their own within the days following treatment.
Halo uses a unique integration of ablative and non-ablative energy to promote more stimulation and renewal of the skin for a wider range of impressive complexion improvements with less downtime than older laser skin resurfacing technologies like CO2.
Significant improvement can be seen after one treatment; however, three to five PhotoFacials are recommended for maximum results.
